In 1923, the American Railway Association (ARA) proposed a design for an all-steel box car to be adopted as standard. The design was not officially recognized as a standard although in excess of 60,000 cars were constructed to the basic design.

From the 8mm silent films of Lee Avis, shot between Philadelphia and Cape May, and around Atlantic City in the 1950s. This rare footage was edited and professionally transferred to DVD by Main Line Motion Pictures. Features passenger trains, freight trains and some shop and switching footage - including a 0-8-0 tank engine "Reading Locomotive Works Shop Switcher".
Vignettes of the Pennsylvania Railroad Volume 2
Featuring the color and black&white photography of veteran railfans Charlie Bealer, CHarles W. Houser Sr., and Bruce Kantner. Released in 2005 by Clear Block Productions, this DVD is 53 minutes with narration (can be turned off). Covers the 'P' Company in its namesake state from the years 1952-1967.
Here's an interesting item: a New York Central Railroad Company Record of Arrival Notice book from 1957.
I really don't have much information on it except there are hundreds of waybills "For Charges on Articles Transported."

For sale: 145 Official Railway Equipment Registers spanning the decades starting with January 1924. They are of various conditions (mostly good, but some covers in poor condition given their vintage) and there are several duplicates in the later years (see photos of lists).
This is a Moving Sale — these books must be picked up between Sunday, June 17 and Friday, June 22. They are located in St. Thomas, Ont.
